Latvia Independence Day 2015
Nestled on the eastern shores of the Baltic Sea, Latvia is one of the
most arboreal nations in the European Union. Its temperate climate,
oak-dappled countryside and vast stretches of pine forest make for
incredibly beautiful scenery. Inspired by the Gauja River, whose
treelined banks wind through the country’s largest national park,
today’s Doodle celebrates Latvia and its people on their national day.
